SAND ANALYSIS
Expert Arena Sand Testing & Analysis
Arena sand is more complex than it seems; there is no single sand that makes for a good surface- it's always a blend for stability. ‘Test - don’t Guess’ with the arena surfaces specialists.
Arena Surfaces NZ delivers the insights and data needed to choose, blend and improve your surface with confidence.
What’s Included?
Particle size distribution testing, water capillary action and drainage properties, colour and composition of your existing arena surface or new sand samples. Jargon-free report on the sample provided.
Or provide the Particle Distribution Sheet or report you have on the sand for a review by us as to its suitability (in partnership with a Sandology consult).
Why Test?
Know exactly what’s in your surface before you top up with another sand or introduce other footing components such as fibre, rubber or dust inhibitors.
Tailor your surface to your riding discipline, usage and local conditions.
Avoid costly mistakes by choosing the wrong product/s.
Improve the stability, consistency, and longevity of your arena.
Next step a SANDOLOGY consultation.

Download the Sand Analysis PDF Form from this page.
Complete the form and courier it to us with your sample/s - packaging instructions supplied.
Get a bucket and collect surface from 8-10 places across your arena. Thoroughly mix, then take a sample of the blended surface, enough for a sandwich-sized snaplock bag.
If wet - double bag.
Label clearly.Receive your report within 14 working days.
If you do not have samples to compare, the next step is to book Sandology to access our database of sands, discuss options so we can compare and give our professional recommendation with the ratios of each sand.
