WOOLTEX MIX

This fibre additive is a mixture of Wooltex, Wooltex Jute, and Wooltex Ultra. It is a felt geotextile made with NZ wool that has been needle-punched into a thick felt for durability.

Wooltex Ultra has added layer of nylon fabric protecting it from the elements, holds the fibre together and reduces degradation offering prolonged life for the fibre pieces. Wooltex Jute is wool fibre with added natural jute fibre strands needle pressed into the fabric.
 
Added to sand, this product provides stability, and cushioning to reduce concussion. Excellent water absorption, retention and disbursement properties help create the optimum moisture in your sand.
 
Wooltex will not rot or smell. Field tests show that when left in an arena for 3 years, the pieces were as they were when installed with zero degradation. It provides secure footing when maintained with regular irrigation and grooming.
 
Wooltex Mix arrives in compacted wool fadge bales 100kgs which need to be installed evenly in a grid, spread around your arena, then watered (soaked), installed and worked in to combine with your sand or existing surface, and ideally rolled with a heavy roller.
 
Maintenance can be done with any purpose built arena groomer with tynes. Does not require a specialist fibre groomer.
 
This product is not meant to be used on its own, Wooltex Mix must be mixed with at least 6cm of sand to be most effective, however it will improve any surface.
 
The pricing listed is per square metre @ 1.5kg per sqm, includes GST.
